A versatile dip that is so tasty for lovers of coriander. It is mildly spicy and tangy. Excellent with many of the recipes from the starters and appetisers section of this book.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh coriander
1 small green apple, chopped (optional)
1 medium sized green chilli
1 clove garlic, peeled
1 tablespoon peanuts, chopped
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
In a blender, add coriander, apple, chilli, garlic, peanuts, lemon juice and salt.
Blend ingredients together for 1-2 minutes or until a paste like consistency.
Recipe Note
Serve as a condiment with mains or appetisers. Keep refrigerated for 1-2 weeks.
The peanuts in this recipe help take out the moisture and will allow your chutney to keep longer, but if you anything like me, it work last that long! Jayshri Ganda
